About us

Greetings from Whitewater Soap Company!

The Whitewater Region is named after the world-famous section of whitewater on the Ottawa River, well-known for rafting and kayaking. We are located in the heart of this region on Grants Settlement Road, and our lives are inextricably linked with the River.

Knowing the whitewater lifestyle firsthand, we want to share it with you through our products. The names of our soaps are inspired by river life and life in the Ottawa Valley. Each packaging box features a playful illustration reflecting the name of the soap. Whether you're an experienced paddler, a beginner, or someone who prefers to keep their toes dry, we're confident you'll find the perfect Whitewater soap for yourself, your family, or your friends.

Oh yes, soap!

We use the traditional cold-process method to make our soap. Plant-based oils are combined with lye (sodium hydroxide) to begin the process of saponification. Afterward, the soap is left to cure for four weeks, allowing all the water to evaporate. We only use pure, natural ingredients. Our Rest Day soap, for example, contains just four saponified oils and nothing else! Handmade soap naturally retains glycerine and extra unsaponified oils, meaning it cleanses while nourishing your skin.
